Airmark Aviation was formed in 1991 to cater to sports teams. The FAA suspended the airlines certificate in December, 1991 over licensing problems. The company applied for another license which was granted in the summer of 1992 and began flying for Skybus Airlines. In January 1993 Airmark changed its operating name to Transtar Airline and began flying on May 20, 1993. Overcome by financial difficulties, the airline ceased operation in September, 1993.
